The train and the tunnels mouth is a short puppet film based on a short story. The story follows a young boy named Robert, heading to boarding school on a train journey. Robert is left with his stepmother who claims to have premonition powers and predicts a train crash before he departs. She tries to stop him from going, yet he goes ahead anyway. The train crashes and Robert sees something shocking...

This was a collaborative project between 3rd year National Film School students and 1st year Design for stage and screen students. I co-designed the characters and constructed the puppets. For our design approach we decided to have a futuristic theme with alien creatures as well as humans.
